There Is A Fungus Among Us

Many patients come to see me for help with their poorly diagnosed irritable bowel syndrome as well as other severe digestive disorders.  Through the nutrition response testing protocol that I use in my practice, I have found many of their problems are stemming from fungus, candida, yeast, and mold.

Many people may suspect they have candida and do cleanses , change their diet, even take anti-fungal supplements.... But their results are often discouraging, and their symptoms continue to burden them.

I discovered that by using a protocol combining laser acupuncture, individually prescribed anti-fungal supplements, and diet modification, a phenomenally high rate of success occurs with patients who are in need of ridding the body of fungal and candida overgrowth.

The average person going through this protocol eliminates their candida and fungal problems in three weeks. It's rewarding for me to help people in such a short period of time considering they had dealt with symptoms for years--which they weren't even aware were related to candida.

There are many causes of candidiasis and fungal overgrowth, such as repeated antibiotic use, poor diet, steroid medications, birth control pills, drugs, etc. Fungus can also be passed by the saliva and sexual activity.  Generally, if one person has candida, and they are in a relationship, then their partner is likely to have it as well.

If I treat a patient, and they are in a relationship, I make sure that they understand that if they get treated, but their partner doesn't, then it is important for them to remain on an anti-fungal supplement so that they don't get reinfected by their partner.

The overuse of antibiotics is a major contributor to fungal and candida problems. Antibiotics kill the good as well as the bad bacteria. We all have a small amount of fungus in our gut, but the good bacteria can usually keep it in check. When antibiotics kill the good bacteria in our systems, then the fungus has an opportunity to take over the gut . It is so important to take probiotics, and an anti-fungal supplement, while you are on antibiotics to avoid fungal overgrowth. Always make sure the anti-fungal supplement doesn't have any contraindications with the antibiotic.

Symptoms of candidiasis and fungal problems include:

  • chronic fatigue
  • depression
  • yeast infections
  • bloating, joint or muscle pain
  • anxiety
  • hyperactivity
  • food sensitivities
  • hair loss
  • foggy brain
  • inability to concentrate
  • consistent colds
  • poorly functioning immune system
  • rashes and acne
  • sleep disturbances
  • back pain
  • moodiness and emotional swings
  • feelings of being overwhelmed
  • lack of clarity
  • nasal congestion
  • recurring sinusitis
  • ear infections
  • heartburn
  • dark circles under the eyes
  • sugar or vinegar cravings
  • prostatitis
  • bad breath
  • hyperthyroidism
  • environmental sensitivities
  • chronic constipation or diarrhea
  • itchy scalp or skin
  • and many other symptoms
As you can see it can cause many symptoms, and many people are taking drugs to manage their symptoms, but are not getting to the root cause of the problem.

Some health practitioners tell their patients to do the home spit test to see if there is any evidence of candida. It is not very accurate, but severe cases of candida can be revealed through this method. This method does, however, show false negatives but here is how it goes.

As soon as you wake up in the morning, before you put anything in your mouth, get a glass of distilled water (not tap water) in a clear glass that you can see through. Collect saliva in your mouth with your tongue and spit it into the glass and observe it for 15 minutes.

If your saliva stays at the top and you see thin strands that look like strings or spider legs extending downward, or if your saliva floats to the bottom and looks cloudy, or your saliva is suspended mid glass and looks like specs floating, then this is considered a positive test.

Nutrition response testing is a much more accurate method of determining candida or fungal overgrowth. If you, your friends, or your family are having symptoms that you can't resolve, I can help by determining the true cause of the problem.

Healthfully yours
